NB I will be on leave 22nd Dec to 31st Jan 2012. Please leave me a message so I can get back to you on my return.
I offer long and short term psychotherapy and counselling to individuals and couples, who are seeking to change the patterns of behaviour which influence their emotional well being. I also provide clinical and professional supervision.
Experience: Over the past twenty years I have worked in a number of settings; in community agencies, in private practice and for 13 years at Auckland Family Counselling and Psychotherapy Centre, providing psychotherapy, counselling and supervision to individuals, couples, families and groups. I also taught in their Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy programme. I was Manager of the Centre for 7 years responsible for clinical and administrative functioning. I have supervised Clinical Managers and students of the AUT psychotherapy programme.
Specialisms: My experience is wide and varied having worked with people suffering the effects of anxiety, depression, burnout, illness (both physical and emotional), trauma, redundancy, separation, divorce, loss and grief, and the everyday difficulties of getting on with life.
Approach: Psychoanalytic, psychodynamic psychotherapy. This approach helps to make sense of repetitive patterns of experience, understand underlying influences and work through these to achieve personal growth and change.
Professional Memberships: I am a registered Psychotherapist (PBANZ) and member of the New Zealand Association of Psychotherapists (M.N.Z.A.P.)
Location: My consulting rooms are situated in a quiet block of offices, handy to motorway access at Albany (Oteha Valley Rd or Greville Rd off ramps). Parking available.
Fees: Individual $115.00 Couples $135.00
